FEES:
Protecting intellectual property can be an expensive endeavor, incurring costs for both attorney services and USPTO fees. PIPLO provides cost estimates to the client before performing any task on a client's behalf. Note some services are billed hourly while others are billed as flat fees. PIPLO hourly fees are a minimum of $250/hour for attorney services and $165/hour for consultant services. The USPTO fees are set by the US government and include multiple tiers of filing fees depending on the the financial and business status of the owner/applicant. Sample fees for PIPLO services for some basic IP matters are set forth below:
U.S. Patent Search: Minimum $400
Preparation of Provisional U.S. Patent Application: Minimum $1500
Preparation of Non-Provisional U.S. Patent Application: Minimum $3000
Patent Prosecution: Hourly
U.S. Trademark Search: Minimum $400
U.S. Trademark Application (One Class): Minimum $350
Trademark Prosecution: Hourly
